Technical Support - Audio Headset Engineering Support

Shenzhen Liwei Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. has spent over 10 years designing audio and headphone electronics, serving more than 300 clients and 15+ well-known brands. Delivering a solution is not the end of the engagement: our engineering team stays with the project through prototype bring-up, pilot runs and production ramp, so that problems are found and fixed while they are still inexpensive to correct.

This page covers post-design engineering support. For the upstream work - requirement analysis, chip selection, schematic and layout - see Solution Design.

What our technical support covers

  • Design review: schematic review; PCB layout checking (stack-up and impedance, analogue/digital partitioning, power and ground integrity); BOM availability and second-source assessment; Gerber and pick-and-place verification.
  • RF and audio tuning: 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth antenna matching and sensitivity optimisation; DSP effects and reverb parameter tuning; active noise cancellation and call noise reduction debugging; microphone pick-up consistency calibration.
  • Production and test: functional test station planning; test script and fixture protocol integration; programming and calibration flow design; failure analysis and failure-mode consolidation.
  • Compliance and remediation: interpretation of pre-scan EMC results with remediation advice; design confirmation for safety and ingress-protection requirements; pre-submission checklists for certification.

How we work with your team

  • Remote review - send the schematic, PCB source files or Gerbers together with a description of the problem, and the relevant engineer returns a review note with a prioritised change list.
  • On-site support - prototype bring-up, assembly-process confirmation and line-side fault localisation can be scheduled around project milestones.
  • Targeted debugging - dedicated investigation of specific failures such as RF range shortfall, weak noise cancellation, audible hiss or howling.

Typical workflow

  1. Share the project background and hardware files (schematic, layout, BOM, current prototype behaviour).
  2. Agree the current phase, the problem to be solved and a named contact on each side.
  3. Receive review notes or debugging conclusions at each phase, together with concrete change suggestions.
  4. Stay in contact through the key milestones - prototype, pilot run and production ramp - until the issue is closed.

Frequently asked questions

Can you support a design that Liwei did not create?

Yes. A design whose chip platform is already fixed, or whose hardware was produced by another team, can be reviewed in the same way. We provide an independent engineering view on the schematic, layout and RF and audio performance, and help establish whether the fault lies in the hardware design or in the tuning parameters.

What do you need in order to review a design?

The schematic and layout files, plus the measured behaviour of the current prototype - battery life, gain, latency, noise floor and any test data you already hold - and a clear statement of the problem. The files show whether the design itself is sound; the measurements show where the fault is likely to originate.

How do you trace a 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth range shortfall?

We work through the chain in order: first the antenna clearance area and the measured impedance of the matching network, then whether the RF trace keeps a continuous ground reference and stays clear of supply and high-speed signals, and finally the supply noise and LDO behaviour. Most range problems are identified in the first two steps.

What usually causes disappointing ANC performance?

The most common causes are inconsistent microphone port position and sealing, amplitude and phase mismatch between the feed-forward and feedback microphones, ANC filter coefficients that no longer match the real acoustic cavity, and leakage introduced during assembly. Confirm microphone consistency and sealing first, then re-tune the filters.

Can you help analyse a batch failure in mass production?

Yes. We combine the failure symptom, batch distribution, test data and process records to consolidate the failure mode, separating component consistency, process and design margin, and then propose both a temporary containment and a long-term improvement.
